We are forever grateful for the endless bounty of plants, animals, oxygen, water, nutrients, beauty and inspiration we have the pleasure of experiencing each day. As vast and populated as the earth is, each of us have the ability to make decisions each day that impact our ecosystems, water supply, air quality, personal health and much more.

Becoming aware of your power and influence is the first step to improving the earth we all share. Here are gentle reminders and small steps to take each day that will positively impact your health and our environment.

– Recycle at home, in restaurants, and in public as often as possible

– Reuse glass jars from jam or nut butters for dried foods and portable food containers

– Source your food locally to drastically cut back on pollution, transportation and manufacturing resources

– Choose walking, biking, carpooling, or public transportation for travel when possible

– Make your own household cleaners and room freshener supplies (see previous blog post for details!) instead of store bought brands

– Popular laundry detergent brands contain toxic chemicals that cause eutrophication, pollute natural water sources, and that suppress our immunity, instead pure castile soap, baking soda, epsom salt, or borax
